The Iridium 9555 Satellite Phone runs on one of the largest satellite constellations in existence, offering truly global coverage of all the earth’s lands, seas and skies.

The Iridium 9555 is an entry-level Iridium satellite phone, ideal for the more price conscious buyer who still wants the benefit of Iridium’s truly global satellite coverage.

Unlike the other more expensive Iridium phones, notably absent from the Iridium 9555 Satellite Phone are GPS, position reporting, SOS button, and ruggedness features.

However the voice call and text messaging features on the Iridium 9555 Satellite Phone is as good as on any other Iridium phone, so there is nothing inferior in that regard.

The omni-directional antennas of the Iridium 9555 Satellite Phone means the user never has to do antenna pointing as may sometimes be required with other satphones.
